/Artefact of Gesture is an ongoing physical and digital exploration looking at gesture as controller, object and symbol. The exploration stems from a small element from my exhibition 'In Touch In Ruin' where a ceramic grip moulded from my hand and fitted with capacitive touch sensors triggered the narrative of the work. 

This work looks at forming and creating an archive around the artefact of my grip, the tactile negative space of my gesture. By creating permanence from the intangible the work explores questions most of my work explores. What belongs in the archive and what form can the archive take?
