‘find the archive’ - 2026

/Find the Archive is an interactive point and click game where the user is searching for an undisclosed archive. Throughout this journey the viewer is travelling a non-existent world following traces of this archive. Throughout the journey you discover confrontations intended for the viewer to question their own right to the archive.

This work explores my own interest in archives, specifically with their accessibility, whose histories are told within them and whose histories are left out. As a queer, working class man I have always felt excluded from finding or accessing my own histories. It wasn’t until the weight of a MA behind me that there was access to institutional archives. I want the viewer to ask themselves why doesn’t this belong to me, who does it belong to and should it belong to anyone.
